Strong Foundations. Seriously Fun.

A story-driven curriculum that builds strong musical foundations for young singers ages 7–12

What if learning the foundations of music felt like an adventure?

Young singers need more than just repertoire study. They need the knowledge and skills that help them become confident, capable musicians.

The Hello, Voice!™ workbook series brings together the musical fundamentals young singers need to build a strong foundation, including sight-singing, ear training, music theory, beginning composition, age-appropriate vocal technique, and music history.

But learning those skills doesn't have to feel like another assignment.

Through an ongoing mystery adventure, students travel through music history with Maestro and his friends, discover new musical concepts, and put their skills into practice along the way.

They're learning the fundamentals. They're building confidence. And they're having fun while they do it.

Building Strong Musical Foundations

Sight-Singing

Build confident music-reading skills through sequential, age-appropriate sight-singing practice.

Music Theory

Learn the foundations of notation and music theory while connecting concepts directly to the music students are singing.

Healthy Voice Technique

Introduce age-appropriate concepts of breath, resonance, vocal production, and healthy vocal habits.

Beginning Composition

Give students opportunities to experiment with musical ideas and begin creating music of their own.

Ear Training

Develop the ability to hear, recognize, and reproduce musical patterns, pitches, intervals, and rhythms.

Confidence

Give students the knowledge and skills to approach new musical challenges with greater independence and confidence

It Doesn't Feel Like A Workbook. It Feels Like An Adventure.

Meet Maestro and his friends, your guides through an ongoing musical mystery.

Each week, students travel to a different time period in music history, encounter composers and influential musicians, discover new musical concepts, and work together to solve a mystery.

The story isn't simply an extra activity, but it is woven into the learning.

Students use the musical skills they're developing to move the story forward, making each new concept part of the adventure.

Along the way, they'll encounter jokes, surprising facts, musical discoveries, and plenty of opportunities to ask:

“What happens next?”

Because when students are curious about the story, they're curious about the music, too.

Why I Created Hello, Voice!™

As a voice teacher, I wanted to help my students make the transition from simply singing to becoming confident, knowledgeable young musicians.

I wanted them to develop the foundational skills behind the music (sight-singing, ear training, theory, composition, musical understanding, and healthy vocal technique) without losing the joy that made them fall in love with singing in the first place.

So I created the resource I wished I had.

Hello, Voice!™ grew out of the work I was already doing with my own students: finding creative ways to teach the fundamentals while keeping young singers curious, engaged, and excited to learn.

I published it because I believe young singers deserve a strong musical foundation, a healthy relationship with their voices, and the confidence to grow into the musicians they can become.

And I want to help other teachers give their students that same experience.
